    Hi guys,

I'm running the latest version of Parallels 10, and I'm in the Windows Enterprise Evaluation period. I downloaded the .iso from Microsoft, though Parallels didn't recognize it for some reason, so I proceeded by selecting "Windows 10" from the dropdown instead of drag & dropping the .iso.

When I get to the Windows 10 installation page, "select the driver to install" running a scan shows nothing. I downloaded the Bootcamp Support Files and put them on a USB drive, but it isn't visible when I click the "browse" button. I went to configure > hardware > USB&Bluetooth and Bluetooth 3.0 is enabled. "Apple USB Host Controller" is also a permanent assignment under the "devices" pane.

I'm running OSX Yosemite 10.10.3 on a new 13-inch Macbook.

How do I install the drivers?

    Hi Brennon,
Please let us know, whether you're trying to install Windows 10 on Boot Camp partition or directly as Virtual Machine on Parallels Desktop. If possible, please reproduce the issue and post a screenshot of the issue here, so that we can check and assist you better.

Thanks for the reply Manoj. I'm using the Parallels VM (isn't that what this forum is for?), not Bootcamp.
I started over with the installation and am now getting a missing media driver error (screenshot here: http://i.imgur.com/INmhuMM.png). I did some Googling and others resolved this by going to settings > hardware and changing the CD drive location to IDE 0:0 or 0:1, however this does not work for me (the error is exactly the same). How can I fix this?

    Ram,
As I said in my first post, the .iso I got from Microsoft is not recognized. Here's a screenshot after dragging and dropping the .iso:

So I proceed by hitting "continue" and choose "Window's 10" from the dropdown. Then I select "Gaming" as my primary purpose for the VM. It creates the VM, I select "English" for my language, click "Install Now" and get this:

Maria, I'm not sure how redownloading the same .iso should fix it. It seems highly unlikely that the file got corrupted in the process of being downloaded. Is there no simple fix for using Parallel's Windows 10 installation?

BrennonW, even if file has not been corrupted during download, make sure it was downloaded completely. All previous claims about such issue were caused by incomplete(truncated) iso image.

I do have exactly the same problems. I've bought windows 10 online and downloaded the 32bit and 64bit version iso. Both of them weren't recognized and Parallells showed the same screen posted by BrennonW. What should I do to fix this?

Hi all, please try to download the .iso image from here. And then try to install and check how it goes.

Hi Dhruba, works perfectly now. Thanks for your help. One more question. For a better perfomance, should I install the 32 or 64bit version? Thanks!

Glad your issue has been resolved successfully. For better performance, you can go with 32 bit version. Thanks!
