    Hi,

this is going to be a bit long, so bear with me.
I upgraded to Parallels Dektop 11, in order to upgrade to Windows 10. Ever since those upgrades, I have not been able to run any *.exe files, they just would not open/run.
So I recently opened a ticket, and today I received a reply, pointing me to Article ID 122809 in order to, I assumed, solve this issue. Well, that article covers Windows 7 & 8, not 10. But, I guess now foolishly, I proceeded to go ahead and go through the steps written for Windows 7 in that Article ID.
It all seemed to be ok as per the instructions, but after I re started Windows 10, it all went pear shaped!
Windows 10 does start, and I can see the desktop, but nothing else. I cannot even get the mouse pointer to work in Windows 10. No network connection, nothing. All it allows me to do is to shut it down by 'Quitting' Parallels Desktop.
This is a major disaster for me, as I need Windows for my business, as some software I use is not available for the Mac.
I have replied to the e-mail sent to me by Parallels support outlining this issue, but nothing so far.
I really need this solved ASAP, thank you!

well...I got so frustrated, I deleted the lot and re installed Parallels and Windows 10. So far, it all seems to be working OK.
But, there is another interesting issue that I did not have before.
I have saved files on both my Mac and Windows 10. When I click on a saved file stored on the Mac, but the program is installed/running in Windows 10, I get the following message "The application is installed in a virtual machine that cannot be located. Make sure that the virtual machine hasn't been deleted or moved to another location."
I never had this issue with my previous install.
