Hi, I am revisiting my set-up as I have just upgraded from Desktop 17 to Desktop 19 so I can run Parallels on my M2 Mac laptop with Ventura. My existing set-up is still using the prerelease version of Win10 for ARM which I have not had any problems with. I have a couple of Qs. 1) is it best to keep with this version of Windows? Or upgrade to Win11 for ARM? 2) if I upgrade, what is the cheapest way to upgrade, what pathways to get a download for Win 11 for ARM and a licence? Thanks,.
Greetings, Thank you for your feedback. If your current Win10 virtual machine is running fine, you may continue using it, however, it is not currently supported. Only Windows 11 Pro/Enterprise version is currently supported, more information regarding supported Guest OS on ARM can be found in the article: https://kb.parallels.com/en/124223 . You can install the Windows 11 Pro version by following the steps below: (These steps are needed to download the official image of Windows 11 arm) 1. Create new Virtual Machine (click Parallels icon > Control Center) 2. In the upper right corner, click on the "+" button. 3. In the window that appears, click "Continue". 4. In the window that appears, click "Get Windows 11 from Microsoft" > "Install Windows". 5. Wait until the virtual machine is installed. In order to activate your Windows 11 Pro, you need to purchase a license from Microsoft following the steps below: Open Windows Settings > System > Activation. Click "Get a new license in the Microsoft Store app". Click "Buy" and proceed with the purchase process. Windows will be automatically activated after a successful purchase. More details regarding activation can be found in article : https://kb.parallels.com/114051 Thank you!
