I recently upgraded to P12. I just tried to upgrade windows 10 from win8. The upgrade fails during the restart/configuration/restart phase, opening a Windows8 window, then freezing. My windows 8 vm is now inaccessible. What am I doing wrong? sigh, ~james
I also have the same problem. After mac with resetting via Timecapsule to a previous installation, I had to reinstall Parallels. Windows 10 (previously without problems) could not be reinstalled. Stays at about 92% in the upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 always hang. Have already tried twice. So can not work with my company !!
Hey PK, Thanks for sharing your experiences. Sounds like Parallels 12 sucks. As in, the opposite of what I was sold on expecting. BTW, the support from Parallels on these forums is deeply disappointing. The Parallels guys don't offer much, even though there don't seem to be that many requests for help. Wow. I'm regretting this "upgrade". So far, my experience has been that I pay my $50...and I end up with way more than $50 worth of troubles. I'm wondering if I should've tried VMware instead. Anybody else on this forum have any experience with VMware Fusion and the W10 upgrade path? Cheers, ~james
Everything re-recorded. Now everything ok again. Key for Windows 10 previously purchased. Because upgrade at the beginning of the year from W7 to W10 no key was present.
