Geez, I expect this kind of snafu from Microsoft, but c'mon guys this is a virtual machine. Something is catastrophically wrong with my Windows 10 VM after the upgrade. I had recently installed some windows updates so I though maybe that was the cause at first. Reverting to a months-old snapshot (and losing some data of course) made no difference. VM will immediately shut off and return to a black "play button" screen about 3 seconds after loading the Windows Desktop.

As a last resort, I said what the heck, let's reinstall the OS using the Windows "reset my PC" feature (one of the options after multiple failed boots). Resintalling the OS works... until you install Parallels Tools. Then it does the same thing again.

My machine is an up-to-date 2016 13" MBP running High Sierra 10.13.6.

Also reached out on Twitter but no response all day (US time).
