I have the same problem Hi I have exactly the same problem. Specifically with Windows 7 x64 trying to install SQL Server 2008 on a macbook pro with Parallels Have someone resolved it? Thanks
I found !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I found the solution !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you should unzip the file SQLEXPRWT_x64_ENU.EXE with command line, you write C:\Users\Administrateur\Downloads\SQLEXPRWT_x64_ENU>setup.exe /ACTION=install /SKIPRULES=PerfMonCounterNotCorruptedCheck And MAGIC, it's bypass the test !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've got the very same issue during installation of SQL Server 2008. You found the solution to the installation of SQL Server EXPRESS edition. I'm trying to do this process right now with the SQL Server 2008. If I'd never wrote back, it didn't work and I died! Please wait.
Hi, When trying to install "SQL Server 2008 R2" on a MacBook Pro with W7 (SP1)-64bit via Parallels, the following error occurs: "Performance counter registry hive consistency" (under setup support rules). Your solution was sublime. Thank you very much. Luk
Thank youuu!! there's only one thing, I'm wondering about: the date you solved the problem and the date it occurs on my machine ;-)) on the microsoft community- and on the technet-sites I didn't find anything usefully. so - thanks once more. the parallels-support told me to contact the mircosoft-support! the said, it's never ever a problem of parallels. mircosoft wanted me therefore to pay € 299,00 for support, primary supposing that the problem is on parallels...
