Windows 7 Backup and Restoring to Parallels 9 for Mac

Hi all,

I've installed Parallels 9 on my iMac (10.9.1) and would like to restore a backup of Windows 7 (created using the Windows Backup Utility) that I have on an external drive to Parallels 9. I created the Windows 7 backup from my Windows BootCamp partition before my hard drive crashed. It's the same version of Windows 7 on Parallels as was on my BootCamp partition before the crash. Is this possible? I'd like to know before I purchase the product.

We are not sure whether the restoring of Windows will work for sure.

You can try to install a new Windows VM and the same product key of Windows can be used to activate your Windows.
