windows 7 Desktop on Mac -running Outlook 2010 and sync with hotmail and with iphone3

I'm a total newbie. So please excuse any dumb question or words that are not used correctly. I try to give my best

I have bought my first Mac and have my problems with different programs:

- i need the internet explorer for my work
- i want to download all binders from my hotmail account on a mail program that is offline (like Outlook... with Mail from Mac it doesn't work)
- i actually like outlook calender much better than ical... I think there are much more options to personalize
- i don't want to use icloud for synchronization. I only want to synchronize my calender and contacts (from outlook?) with my iphone

So here are my questions:
does installing windows outlook work on parallels?
and does anybody have experience with the synchronization of the windows outlook with hotmail - especially sent binder and deleting mails?
does anybody have experience with the synchronization of the windows outlook with iPhone? Would i use the itunes installed on the windows virtual machine or the mac ios?

My idea would be:
- installing parallels
- installing windows 7 in parallels
- installing outlook 2010 in windows 7
and then have hotmail sync with outlook 2010 (hopefully this is working as good as before on a windows machine???)
and then have itunes (installation on parallels windows or in mac?) synchronize the calender and contacts with the outlook 2010 in parallels?

WOULD THIS WORK?
