Successfully migrated from an existing Windows 7 laptop, but after going through the "Upgrading Windows 7" process, the OS immediately shuts down. When going into manual mode, I can see it successfully boot up and momentarily flash the login screen, however it's followed by the "shutting down" message right after that. I've tried changing different performance options and setting the CPU/Memory to replicate my Windows laptop, all with no success.

Update #1 - used VMWare converter to create a VMC. Was able to go through the import process in Parallels, and after starting up the first time, ran into the same issue with Windows 7 immediately going through the shut down process after briefly flashing the login screen. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Same issue here

I'm having the exact same issue, so anxious to hear if there is a solution.

Does the converted VMWare machine work? That may be the ultimate fix... just move to VMWare. The cost to upgrade to Parallels 8 (no doubt coming right after Mountain Lion) will be about the same cost. It would be a shame to need to do that as I've been w/ Parallels since the first version.
