I'm having trouble installing windows 7 on parallels 7 for mac. I've got everything downloaded, but I get a no boot filename received error and then a parallels error that says no OS is installed. If I create a new VM Parallels doesn't seem to recognize the mounted iso image as a valid img to install from (GRMCHPFRER_EN_DVD). Any idea what's going on?

It also doesn't help that all the documentation is for what I guess is an older version of parallels? This is my first time using this and it's been extremely frustrating.

Have you tried mounting the iso image on the Mac to make sure it contains proper Windows files?
My iso (GRMCPRFRER_EN_DVD) is in UDF format and contains the following files (plus other stuff):
    autorun.inf
    boot
    bootmgr
    setup.exe

What documentation are you referring to? The Parallels Desktop 7 documentation is in the help menu or at:
    http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/technical-documentation/

Use the help menu to search for "Install Windows from an Installation Disc" and follow those instructions. If you still have an issue, please list the exact steps you used and maybe include a screen shot of the error message.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've got it all worked out. I rebooted and then made sure I selected the correct image file, rather than mount it and try to select it as a mounted disk. It seems to be doing ok now.
