I'm posting here because despite reading loads of help articles and struggling with this issue for months, I'm still having huge problems and hope for some help. I'm running Windows 7 on Parallels 10.2 on a MacBookPro 2.7 Ghz Intel Core i7 with 8GB RAM. I basically just use this for Quicken. Before this year I was using an older version of Parallels with Windows XP and Quicken 2011, but Intuit forced me to upgrade and the new version would only work on Windows 7 so I had to upgrade that and also upgraded from a (very) prior version of Parallels as well. It's been agonizingly slow ever since and I still can't figure out how to troubleshoot this. In addition, the cursor randomly cuts in and out. Ctrl + alt will often restore it, but this has happened multiple times. I just now thought to reinstall Parallels Tools to see if that fixed the cursor problem but "Reinstall Parallels Tools" is greyed out and I can't find any support docs on this relative to my version of Parallels. The big issue though is the speed. I usually suspend the virtual machine. It takes minutes to resume and then more minutes to start Quicken, during which time I have no indication of whether anything is happening. I don't know how many settings affect speed but I've got it set to 2 CPUs and Memory 2048 MB. Oh, and I've been turning off most other Mac programs while I run it, but that doesn't seem to have an effect (I've tried with *all* Mac programs off and don't notice a change in speed). The last configuration was zippy by comparison. This one is really not usable, definitely not worth the cost of the program. When I look at the support docs I can't tell what answers relate to my setup. Can anyone offer any advice about how to troubleshoot this?
