I've checked all the similar threads about setting and changing Windows 7 resolution on MBP but my problem is slightly different so am posting a new thread.

I am running Windows 7 on Parallels10 on a Macbook Pro with OS X. I have the video and screen scaling options set to defaults. The issue is that sometimes Parallels/Windows starts with beautifully clear perfect high resolution (full screen and coherence) and sometimes it has very poor low resolution (blurry text in my Windows apps). It appears to be completely random whether it starts up with the higher, clearer one or the lower, almost unreadable one. It makes no difference if I shut down in full screen or coherence mode, and makes no difference if I start apps from my Mac or open Windows first. I have tried adjusting the scaling and video options as per the other posts for "setting" the Windows resolution but none of them give me the perfect resolution that randomly appears with the dynamic scaling (i.e. default) options selected. In fact I find it impossible to find a manual setting that is even usable.

How can I make sure that my Parallels 10 VM always picks that good resolution rather than changing without any reason whatsoever? Or is there a way that I need to be opening/closing apps, Windows and Parallels that will force it to be right? Any and all help much appreciated!
