Host: Mac OS X Yosemite Guest: Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 Parallels Desktop 10 v10.2.0 I noticed this issue right after the daylight savings time took effect on 03/08. There are actually 2 things happening Issue: 1. Whenever I reboot the Windows 7, somewhere during the restart process the clock goes back for 1 hour then as soon as it has started back up it is adjusted back to the correct time. Here is what my event viewer > Windows Logs > System looks like (filtered for Kernel-General and Kernel-Power): Date and Time EventID Source Keywords Message 04/08/15 3:40:53 PM 1 Kernel-General Time (The system time has changed to 2015-04-08T22:40:53.000000000Z from 2015-04-08T21:40:52.742800000Z.) 04/08/15 2:39:31 PM 12 Kernel-General (The operating system started at system time 2015-04-08T21:39:31.359600000Z.) 04/08/15 3:39:25 PM 13 Kernel-General (The operating system is shutting down at system time 2015-04-08T22:39:25.546000000Z.) 04/08/15 3:39:25 PM 109 Kernel-Power (4) (The kernel power manager has initiated a shutdown transition.) 2. There are entries in the event viewer about 1 hour apart (sometimes more frequently) where the system time changes by 1 hour i.e. 04/07/15 3:18:17 PM 1 Kernel-General Time (The system time has changed to 2015-04-08T22:18:17.000000000Z from 2015-04-08T21:18:17.463400000Z) 04/07/15 2:16:55 PM 1 Kernel-General Time (The system time has changed to 2015-04-08T21:16:55.500000000Z from 2015-04-08T22:16:56.031000000Z) 04/07/15 2:17:18 PM 1 Kernel-General Time (The system time has changed to 2015-04-08T21:17:18.000000000Z from 2015-04-08T20:17:18.540600000Z) 04/07/15 1:24:24 PM 1 Kernel-General Time (The system time has changed to 2015-04-08T20:24:24.000000000Z from 2015-04-08T19:24:24.246600000Z.) Notice it changes by 1 hour behind or ahead, before DST change 03/08/15 there are entries but adjusting minutes and seconds not hours. Has anyone noticed this odd behavior? Tried: - Verified that the Correct timezone is selected (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time even changed timezones. - Disabled "Automatically adjust clock for DST" in Date and Time settings - Parallels > Configuration > Options > Advanced > Time : Do not sync and Sync from OS X - Replicated issue on a clean installation of Win 7 on Parallels Thank you in advance! Zeke
Hi Z.N, Please reinstall Parallels Tools as suggested in http://kb.parallels.com/4841 and then follow the steps mentioned below: 1.Update KB2998527 package using this Microsoft Support article 2.Set the correct time zone in Windows: Control Panel > Change the time zone 3.Restart Windows and check the issue.
