Hi All, Having a strange issue with windows 8 metro apps when running in coherence. The start-screen displays just fine, but when launching a metro app, it slides over to a new full-screen window in mountain lion, however, as soon as I try and do anything, it slides me back to desktop 1 (I only have 1 desktop space) and renders the metro app over any windows which were open on the desktop side of windows 8. I can control neither the desktop apps or the metro apps. The only way to get out of this situation is to switch to full screen or windowed mode and close the metro app, then all returns to normal. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, I'm not using a retina display unfortunately I should have included this info really!: - Mac Mini, late 2012 - 16Gb Ram (4Gb assigned to win8) - 256 Mb Video mem assigned to VM - Parallels 8, latest update (Build 8.0.18354 (Revision 823166; December 4, 2012)) Screen size (of mac) 1920x1080, 1 desktop space enabled. I've also noticed the following, when I start a metro app, the main coherence screen overlaid on desktop 1 resizes its self to full screen (where it normally is sized to stop at the dock), and I can click into and use a control in the metro app, but as soon as I do, I'm slid back into desktop 1, if I try and swipe back to the now fullscreen metro app showing to the right of desktop 1, I'm immediately bought back to desktop 1. If I close the metro app using the left bar in win8, then the coherence desktop space is re-sized back to normal, just above the dock. The apparent behaviour is that launching a metro app causes parallels tools to switch to fulls screen view, but mountain lion is 'preventing' access to that view as the app is still homed on desktop 1 from the perspective of having the mouse focus. Similar Behaviours I've had similar display problems with Parallels / Win 8, and coherence mode. There is definitely a klutziness about it. I've also had problems where I can not get to the display of some metro apps, if you have any insight there please share.

It seems you did it from the window mode, could you send another one while being in Coherence (when the actual issue is reproduced)? You can alternatively submit the problem report via Terminal, see the bottom of http://kb.parallels.com/9058
