Im using Parallels Beta1 and decided to boot into bootcamp for the first time yesterday. It said I have 3 days to activate windows. I booted back to Parallels and it said to activate and I'm fine now. What am I missing here? Can you boot into both or is that not recommended? I'm a newbie with parallels so forgive me if this has been asked before.

    Thanks in advance

Windows is sensitive to hardware changes. The Bill thinks everyone who does a hardware upgrade is a potential crook so they padlock your installation if it changes too much. Since boot camp is a completely different set of hardware than what Parallels emulates you will probably see this message a lot. It may also happen if you fiddle with the Parallels options too.

My solution is to never buy another Microsoft product. Now that I've gotten my wife converted to Mac I won't have to.
