Windows and applications (i.e. Quickbooks/Explorer) open but cannot click inside

My quickbooks kind of "crashed" last night. (QB in Windows 7 x64 Bit via Parallels Desktop v8 for MAC) It went all negative abstract. It had happened once before, so I shut it down hoping closing and reopening would help. It didn't. I then did a restart of my mac and tried it again. The windows folder is there, the programs are there and they even open. Once open though, its like they are invisible to the mouse inside. I.e, in addition to QB I tried Explorer. I can pull up explorer but cannot click inside on any links. The mouse just rolls over links as though they are not there. But I can click on the very top menu (i.e., QB to exit).
Checking my activity monitor in my mac, the QB does not show any or very little CPU usage when open. Same with Explorer.
Does anyone know what is going on?
