I'm using OS X 10.9, Parallels 9.0.23140, and a Windows 8.1 VM. All three of these were upgrades from the prior levels, just around the same time -- so there's been a lot of change. Formerly, with Parallels 8 and Windows 8, relevant Windows apps appeared in "Open With" menus, depending on the file type. Now, in OS X "Open With" menus I'm only seeing Mac apps and no Windows apps. (The Windows VM is open and I'm logged into Windows.) I can browse to the ~/Applications (Parallels)/Windows 8 Applications Folder, though I would like to get back to the former state when "Open With" menus always showed the relevant Windows app for that file type. I changed no configuration options for either the VM or Parallels itself -- just upgraded Parallels from 8 to 9 and Windows from 8 to 8.1 -- with each upgrade event, Parallels tools reinstalled itself. Looking for suggestions to troubleshoot or fix this.
