Well - I brought this on myself as a result of procrastination. I
bought the most recent promo package - containing Parallels from Apple and installed it without trouble. Parallels had been working fine for a couple of days - since I unlocked it. Then I started getting the following message:
"WINDOWs could not start because of a computer disk hardwareconfiguration problem.
Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and
disk hardware.
Please check the Windows documentation about hardware disk
configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional
information.
This virtual machine cannot be suspended because it's running the operating system installed on the Boot Camp. Use the standard shutdown function of the guest operating system to stop the virtual machine"
I gather this might be because I kept putting off the 'configuration'
thing because I did not want to take the time! I didn't know that not
doing it would incapacitate Parallels without any warning. Not only
that - the last paragraph is a joke - since Windows won't open - I
can't close it down from there. I can't close down properly from the
apple logo (top left) because it refers me right back to the warning
above. So I have to press the main switch - shut down and restart.
Can anyone help me out of my self-created mess? Is there a way out?!
