Windows doing odd things in the background; interacting with Mac side oddly

I upgraded to Mountain Lion which forced an upgrade to Parallel 7. Since then, my Windows XP installation has been acting oddly. For instance, today I clicked on my Parallels icon to go over to Windows to find that three Desktop folders were open, as well as a Firefox window and a IE window. The latter windows were both set on search engines (Google for Firefox and Bing for IE) and there were search terms typed into their search boxes. These search terms were things that I had typed into Google in Safari on OS X!

Another time I went to XP to find that a large number of updaters had opened spontaneously. Usually after I haven't used XP in a while (I haven't shut it down; it's always running in the background) there's some window or program open that I didn't open myself.

None of this happened until I "upgraded" to 7. Any ideas as to what's going on?
