I have Parallels installed on my Macbook pro (OSX) and am running a Windows 7 VM and for some reason many files are associated with Mac applications. Word, Excel, PPT, etc. I turned off/unchecked the option for Windows sharing in Paralles configuration. I even uninstalled and re-installed Microsoft Office 2010. The only way I can find to re-associate these files is to manually, one-by-one, re-associate them with the Windows app. Any way to do this globally and how the hell did this happen to begin with?
