I created a Windows 7 Home Premium virtual machine with Parallels 7 and configured windows media center. Then I connected my Xbox 360 in the other room as a media center extender. I had to bridge the network adapter on the VM to get it to connect. Now it's streaming TV, but it's really choppy.
I tried boosting the VM hardware to 2 cores, 2gb memory and 1gb graphics memory but it didn't seem to help even though I have a physical machine with the same setup (dual core, 2 gigs ram) that works perfectly. I tried both 32 and 64 bit Windows. I tried moving and running the VM on another machine.
Starting to run out of ideas...
