Could use some advice from all you Windows experts out there. Basically I installed the new beta before uninstalling the old parallels tools and ran my Boot Camp inside Parallels which messed up everything. So I tried to do a Repair Insallation on Windows via booting it from the CD and trying to go through it, but the setup will never work because it keeps on giving me a copy error even though I point directly to the file and location where all the system files are but it won't copy. The same thing happens when I try to do the repair install through Parallels. I've tried serveral CD's so I know it is definately not the disc and even when I point it to install the files I stored on my hard drive it still won't budg so I am guessing it must have something to do with the HAL stuff that the Parallels Boot Camp Tools does. Is there anyway for me to remove the HAL profile selector and put the HAL stuff back to "normal"? I am thinking I can use a BartPE disc and go back in there and put the proper HAL.dll file to get it to work again, but I am not sure if this will work or which HAL.dll I should be copying back or where. Is there anyway to salvage my installation, without completely reformating?? Thanks.
