Windows Only Reporting 2.75GB out of 8GB Allocated Memory

    I'm hoping there is a way to correct this situation. I have an iMac 27 with 16GB of RAM. In the VM configuration, I've maxed out the memory at 8GB. However, under System Properties in Win XP, I'm only seeing 2.75GB of RAM. I'm trying to allocate at least 2GB to a Java VM so I can run some data intensive stuff, however I can't do that since Windows thinks it only has 2.75GB.

    Is there any confirguration in Windows I can set so it sees and utilizes everything I've allocated?

    Use 64bit version of XP

    Yes, your XP is 32 bit and can access 3 GB of RAM only minus some amount for the graphics card's RAM. If you need more, go for a 64 bit version as ShannonA points out.
