So, there's actually a bit of a long story to this one, with a few details I feel might be important. I'm just reinstalling my Windows XP program after a small incident I had. A few hours ago, I accidentally clicked a suspicious ad, and out of concern for my computer, I force-shut it down. Afterwords trying to restart it, Parallels wouldn't start back up again. So, I decided to uninstall it and reinstall it, and have been coming close to finally setting up my windows program, except for a problem with the Product Key. Even though I placed the correct one in the first time, when I try putting it in the second time, it doesn't do anything and keeps telling me that I put the wrong one in. I've tried it 6 times now, using 2 different product keys. At this point I'm at my wits end too. I have a job that requires me to use my windows program, and I need to fix this asap. Does anyone think they might know how to get past this issue? I have a theory that it might be that somehow the ad placed something on my computer that attacks the windows segment somehow, but that's just because I don't know how Macs work. I'm certainly hoping this isn't the case though.
It would appear that I cannot edit my text, but there's no need to report the problem now. As it turns out, there was a code written on the back of the disk that I was using....Probably belonging to an older model than the ones I was trying to use (mixed them up I'd assume). Either way, that's all.
