I installed Parallels Desktop 17 for Mac (currently v17.1.0) on an Intel Mac Book Pro and had no problems switching an existing Windows 10 guest to it.
Last Saturday, it appears that the Windows guest updated itself, this may have been after a week of waiting to restart when the guest was suspended, with these consequences:
    1. The Windows guest display is set to 800x600, I believe because Parallels can't find a device driver for it. I tried manually zooming (after enabling manual zooming in the hypervisor), but then mouse movement is jerky and sometimes non-existent in the guest (using the trackpad).
    2. The Mac file system is no longer mountable in Windows.
I tried re-installing Parallels Tools and it didn't change anything, I actually got a deeply informative "There was an error" message in a pop-up box.
I contacted customer support, but they seem to be only able to read from a script, and they just told me to re-install Parallels Tools.
Has anyone else encountered a recent Windows update apparently breaking Parallels?
My next avenue may be to try downgrading to Parallels 16 and see if that fixes things.
