    Hi,

I have a problem when starting Windows XP in PD-7.
When I first installed it, everything worked great (yesterday) but after installing Nod32 Antivirus and Outpost Firewall in Windows it won´t start.
I get past the start screen but after the windows logo on black background it goes black.
After maby 3-4 minutes the "windows is starting" pops up and then it freezes again.
I just saw that after another 5 min or so, the "Loading your pesonal settings" comes up.

I don´t know if windows is starting very slooow or will hang up forever...

Does anyone know what might be the problem?
How can I get a fast start again?
With my SSD-disc it used to take 10 sec. to start windows Xp.

Update: Windows finally started bur every command, like opening a folder takes like 5 min.
And it took about 2 hours before windows was completly loaded.

    Hello,

I would suggest you to uninstall Nod32 completely referring to this article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/112773

Start Windows in Safe Mode (hold F8 while booting - make sure mouse is grabbed by virtual machine)
Enable Windows Installer service in Safe Mode and remove antivirus.

Enable Windows Installer in Safe Mode

    1. Click on start>> run and type in cmd then click on ok (In Vista and Windows 7 click on start and type in cmd in the search window. Right click the cmd box on top of search window and select run as administrator)

    2. Type in the following in cmd window.

    REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\MSIServer" /VE /T REG_SZ /F /D "Service"

    3. Hit Enter key

    4. Now, type the following command in Run box

    net start msiserver

    5: Hit Enter key.

This will start the Windows Installer Service in safe mode.
