I'm trying to use Parallels (3.0 build 5160), OS X 10.5.2, and Windows XP on a MacBook Pro 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM to run ProntoEdit NG in order to program a Phillips Pronto TS3000 remote control. Whenever I plug the device into the USB port and connect it to the virtual machine, the Windows UI just hangs. As soon as I disconnect the device Windows immediately starts responding to the mouse. According to reports on the remotecentral forum others have successfully programmed this device using Parallels on a Mac. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this would be helpful. The Windows device manager reports no trouble found on either of the usb drivers or hubs (the machine has both usb and usb2). Of course this can only be done without the device plugged in.
I am having the same issue. Connect a USB device, and Windows XP hangs. Disconnect it, and it works again. I've tried several of the suggestions I could find, but none of them work. I'm on Parallels 3.0, build 5584.
