Windows XP Network Adapter Issues

Hello, im sure this has been posted before but all support articles and forum threads I find do no resolve my issue.

Im just installing Windows XP for the first time, when I load up the image a parallels messages says that the network adapter could not be found.
After following a few guides online (linked below) I still cannot get my VM to connect to the internet.

After following this guide, I got to point 3 where I couldnt find the network adapters option in the list.
I do however have an 'Other Devices' with a 'Ethernet Controller' inside with the yellow ! (see fig.1).

Continuing through the guide I deleted (or disabled) the device and then checked for for hardware changes. I am now prompted with a 'Found New Hardware' box. All forum posts I've read have said to ignore this, but after this didn't work the first time I decided to continue through the wizard with no luck.

So thats basically where I'm at, a Windows XP image that won't connect to the internet with an Ethernet Controller that is trying to install.
I've attached some screenshots showing the status of some options in windows and parallels.

Please also note that I have 4 other OS's installed and all work fine but the 2 Windows XP images. I am also running a wireless connection (physical).
