I'm running Windows XP on a Macbook Pro with Parallels 7. For the past 7 years (going back through previous Parallels versions) everything's gone fine. Recently I replaced the hard drive in the Macbook. Went by the book, and that worked fine, too. Except for Windows XP. Presently it hangs right after the black screen...on the blue "starting up" screen. 1 time out of 10 it'll make it past that point, but will show the error message "The system couldn't log you on. Make sure username and domain are correct..."

Finally it now adds a (1) to the .pvm file every time I double click it. We're now on Microsoft Windows XP (2) (2).pvm. What's that all about?

    Thanks, Jim
