Parallels 10. OSX 10.10 Maccbook Pro Retina. Windows XP sp3.
I have used this WinXP virtual machine for my past three Macbook Pros. Each time I copy the VM across to the new machine and install it the usual way on Parallels. Until now, this has worked but I needed to give MS the (valid) serial. With the latest install, WinXP is saying the serial is not valid in this geographic area (Australia) which (AFAIK) is nonsense for XP. Any suggestions as to how I can persuade Windows that the install is genuine? It is working but has the nad icon. It seems to be wanting me to pay for an upgrade to Win7, for which I have no particular need.
    TIA

Solved. The problem appears to be a clash between the genuine advantage process and the fact WinXP is no longer available. The only solution I found is to disable the warning process. In my case, legitimate, as I installed a genuine paid-for, licensed copy of WinXP.
