    I've been using Parallels for a while now. My copy of Windows XP was running very slow and nothing seemed to cure it, so i deleted the VM and have tried to create a new one. However, I cannot get Windows installed. It goes very slow, taking 12+ hours to install, then it stops at Saving Settings in WinXP Setup. After being there for an hour or so, it kernel panics then I have to restart over again. I've tried the latest stable release and beta release. I really have no idea where to go from here.

    MacBook/1.25GB RAM/VM has 256 RAM/2GHz Core Duo

    Thanks.

    Please check your memory settings:

    1. Menu PD->Preferences->Memory->Reserved Memory
    2. Menu File->Edit Configuration->Memory

    2 should be less then 1.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you Andrew. I went to my Backup Hard Drive to see if I had a copy of my old VM, and I did, so I copied it back, but it still ran very slow and erratic--until I did this. Now it runs perfect and very fast.

    Thanks again!
