I was at a client's home this evening and was going to open an Excel file in winxp in Parallels. Well winxp seemed to freeze up on me when waking the computer up and my impatience got the best of me and I restarted my Macbook by pushing in the Power Button. Now I cannot get Windows to boot back up. It will power up like normal but the little "moving bar" below the Windows logo will move normal, stop, then really fast. I then keep getting the BSOD and something about "boot_volume", but can't seem to read the screen fast enough. I know I was running low on virtual memory and thought I would defrag and expand the hd on the vm and both times I received an error stating: Image Tool encountered an error while reading the "address.hdd" and to restart IT. That never helped. Would this http://kb.parallels.com/entry/63/336/solution possibly help (I will need to get a copy of my windows disk) or am I completely hosed? If I need to reinstall, then I would LOVE to be able to recover some work files I've been working on as it's been nearly two weeks since my last backup.
