XP ppt stop the horiz next slide gesture on UniMBP

    When using win/ppt under XP/SP3 on the new MacBook Pro with the large track pad - anyone come across how to disable ppt going to the next slide with the horizontal slide gesture. On OSX/ppt this is not a problem .. but on win/ppt it is. Everytime I try to move an object or move the cursor to a different part of the edit slide pane .. I find myself 5 slides from where I just was.
