Platform: MacBook black, 2Gb Apple RAM, 2GHz Intel Core Duo, Parallels Desktop 1832. I am trying to install ABI GeneMapper in a Windows XP SP2 VM. This program requires 1Gb of RAM and a processor faster than 700MHz or so. I've allocated 1.5Gb RAM to Parallels. The installation fails, saying that the requirements are not met. For some reason, the installation program isn't being correctly notified that the computer (or VM) does in fact have the correct RAM and processor. Any ideas if Parallels or the GeneMapper installation program is at fault? Any suggestions?
