While the VM is off, I go into hardware->Configure->boot order and tick "Select boot device on startup". The ONLY thing this does is put the text "Paralle's EFI ...." when the machine starts up. I can hit space, esc, or enter and go into some menu with the options..."continue, Select language, Boot Manager, Device Manager, Boot maintenance Manager". In boot manager there is "mac os x, EFI DVD/CDROM, EFI Network, EFI Hard Drive, EFI Internal Shell". I have no idea how I can use these options to boot in single user mode, safe mode, or recovery mode. I increased the size of my HD and now I need to, in disc utility, to increase the partition size and it's getting an error that led me to the fact that I need to start in one of those modes to increase the size in the VM. So any ideas would be very helpful. I'm using version 10 and I see no icons where I can click "space" and type "-s" like http://kb.sp.parallels.com/en/8724 says.
