Parallels Desktop 9 problem: all files missing!

hi

my parallels 9 (vm windows vista) opens but now suddenly does not display the files on the desktop as it used to (but they are still there on the mac desktop). in fact i am not able to open ANY FILES with the windows finder: there don't seem to be any files at all any more! the desktop is completely empty, see attached pict.

also, the window size is suddenly not right any more, not adjusted to the screen size.

i have a OS X 10.9.5.

ideas anyone?

Please check if your Virtual Machine is running in Coherence mode : http://kb.parallels.com/4670
And try (re)installing Parallels Tools as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4841
