I have a MacBook Pro running the current OS with Parallels 9.0.24172 and Windows XP. I want to upgrade to Windows 7, but do not want to reload all my programs if I can help it. I have many years on different software packages with multiple upgrades and settings that would make one go nuts to start over. I read where it might be possible to keep your software and settings intact if you go from XP to Vista then to 7. What is the best way to do this? Thanks......Bob
It's possible, but it can generate many problems with Windows 7 functioning (drivers, etc.). You can read about it on Tom's Hardware. I would suuggest you to do a clean installation.
