    Hi,
In my network at home, a Brother printer is on another Mac. Running Win 7 in Parallels I can print to that printer always. Win 10 lists the printer as available, but printing fails every time.
It is also not possible to add the Brother printer as a new printer

    Thanks Manu,
Er, how can I put this politely. Not being entirely stupid I have done both of those things a number of times.
The problem is that the system works perfectly when I am in Windows 7. In Windows 10 all the settings are exactly the same. Following the job as it is created shows that Windows 10 does send the print job, but it vanishes immediately. In other words it seems not to be able to find the network printer.
If I try to set up a printer my self, Windows 10 cannot find it no matter whether i use the name of the other Mac computer or use its IP address.
Ar e here some other ideas, please?

I have the same problem as Peter - printing with Windows 7 is OK and printing with Windows 10 nothing happens with exactly the same settings. So I tried the proposal of Maria with installing and using a Bonjour Printer - and this is working without any problems. So I think that there is a bug in Parallels Desktop 10 together with Windows 10 by managing print jobs on Mac Printers !

Hi, thank you for provided information, Windows 10 has new drivers, that's why there are some issues with display driver and printer...
If the issue reoccurs could you generate the problem report using this KB and let us know the report ID-number.
    Thank you once again.

Hello Maria, I just reproduced the problem: printing in Windows 10 by using a Mac printer (not Bonjour) - nothing happens. Then I generated a problem report with the ID-number 72095798. Please let me know what you will do to solve this problem.

    Thanks Maria and turner1948.
I was trying to do as you suggested Maria, but the win 10 got contaminated somehow and I had to totally reinstall windows 7 and have not yet installed win 10.
However last time I tried to use Bonjour in windows 10 I was still unable to print to the network printer.
Could you tell me how you set it up please?
    Thanks

    Hello Peter,
I did it exactly as described in the article you will get through the link Maria has send. After installing a Bonjour printer using Apple Bonjour for Windows I could use this Bonjour Printer without any problems. But beside of this Parallels should repair the bug in Parallels Desktop for Mac 10 so we can use the normal Mac Printer without Bonjour.

No guys, this does not work. Perhaps I have not explained the problem correctly. Win 10 is on my computer, which is a Mac. The printer I want to connect to is on my wife's computer, over an internal network.
That printer cannot be shared in Yosemite, because it is not on the Yosemite (my) computer. So it simply does not show up on Bonjour. Furthermore, the printer on y wife's computer is not visible on Win 10 network. And it cannot be connected to at all using Win 10 add a printer.
In win 7 there is no problem providing I set up Parallels to use the Mac (Yosemite) printers.
I think this is a separate bug in which Win 10 in Parallels simply cannot detect a local network when the networked computer that it should be looking for is an Apple and thus not available through Windows Homegroup

    Hello Mike,
thank you so much for this information. I did it what you told us in the other thread and - surprise, surprise - now I can print in Windows 10 with my Mac Printer without any problems. I only be surprised why Parallels Support did not know about the solving of the printing problem. It would be nice if Parallels could publish this in an article !

Hi, thanks a lot for provided information, but as I can see you've generated this report from Windows 7.
    And what about Windows 10?
Please correct me if I'm wrong and also please generate report from windows 10 if possible.
Thanks for your cooperation once again!

Hello Maria, I generated this report from Windows 10 (after upgraded from Windows 7 some days ago). So I am surprised that you think that the report was generated from Windows 7.
But as you see there is still a solution for this problem posted by Mike Boreham. I tried it and it worked. Please publish this in an official article.

Ok, it's really strange behavior, because in the report Guest OS (VM OS) masked as Windows 7... Anyway, thanks you and Mike for solution, we will post it.
    Thanks for cooperation with us.
