I just purchased a Xerox 6120 and it will not print through Parallels Desktop. I was on the phone with Xerox tech support for about 45 minutes and the tech said there were severl reports about issues with Parallels and the 6120 but said he could not elaborate. He indicated that he has seen posts abot workarounds. I searched the forums bt see no postings on the Xerox Phaser. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, how were you able to resolve the failure to print? Thanks
Presumably you mean you cannot print from a Windows virtual machine. So there are questions: What version of Parallels? What version of Windows? Have you installed Bonjour for Windows? Can you print from OS X? Is your printer a direct connect (usb) or network? If network, can you ping your printer from OS X? If you can ping it from OS X, can you ping it from Windows? If you can ping it from OS X but not from Windows, can you ping it by IP from Windows? Are you using shared or bridged networking? Did you install drivers for the printer in Windows?
Yes, that is what I mean. Parallels version is build 3170 (RC3) Windows version is XPSP2 Bonjour has been installed in Windows Yes, I can print from OS X Printer is directly connected via USB Don't know about pinging since I do not have the printer connected via ethernet I am using bridged networking The only driver installed in Windows was whatever was done with Bonjour Thanks
