Is there a mac 10.6 bash shell command or shell script that I can use or that I can write in order to suspend and quit parallels desktop automatically? I use SuperDuper! for back up and they say to quit Parallels before doing a backup. SuperDuper can run a sh script for me, but what commands do I need to script to suspend my windows xp virtual machine and then shut down parallels? Any ideas?
Never mind! Never mind! Found exactly what I needed, by John VanDyk, at http://www.sysarchitects.com/node/97
Why not use the CLI tools Parallels provide The parallels desktop has some command line tools with parallels desktop that i use which are very handy "prlsrvctl & prlctl". Much better idea than send keys and tell hacks. see the guide: http://download.parallels.com/deskto...ce Guide.pdf Example of how i use it: http://forum.parallels.com/showpost.php?p=560039&postcount=3
