    PD11 on El Capitan 10.11.1

I use 'Ask me what to do' option for external devices. Each time USB drive is connected, PD asks what to do but simultaneously the drive is automatically mounted in OS X. When I click Windows guest machine then USB drive is connected to Windows and disappears from host. Unfortunately OS X prompts that USB drive is connected to Mac and it needs to be properly unmounted to prevent errors.

USB drive should not appear in OS X unless I click Mac in 'what to do' window.

Is there any solution to this bug?

Hi, Please shut down your virtual machine, quit Parallels Desktop and disconnect your USB device from your Mac and Connect your USB device to your Mac and Make sure the device is detected on the Mac side. Please refer to this article to fix the issue.

Hi Paul. Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately it looks like your solution does not concern my problem. Scenario described in provided article works just fine. I have no problems with detection or use of USB drives in both host OS X and guest Windows machine.
The problem is: "Each time USB drive is connected, PD asks where to connect to (this step is fine) but in the same time USB drive is mounted in OS X (this is wrong)."
USB drive should not be visible to OS X until i select Mac as target device.
Exact same scenario on Fusion works just fine - no drive is visible to OS X until you select Mac as target.

I switched from Fusion (still have it) to Paralles because of a few problems, i.e. with graphics acceleration but problems that I encounter in Parallels provoke me to rethink my decision. I hope that you can manage this bug and force to implement patch in one of the next updates.

P.S. It would be nice if you can look at my second issue which also does not occur in Fusion: https://forum.parallels.com/threads...unplugged-not-passed-to-windows-guest.330295/

    Thanks!

Hello, It seems that you're on outdated build of Parallels Desktop 11, please update Parallels Desktop to the latest build 11.1.0 (32202). You can update to the latest build as suggested in this article. Latest version always available here: parallels.com/directdownload/pd11/Please note that Parallels Tools also needs to be updated (Actions > Update Parallels Tools). Please see this article to know more about Parallels Desktop 11 for Mac updates summary.
