Hi there Community, I am having an issue with the Magic Mouse 2 while using Windows 10 VM and using MS Word (subscription edition): after few seconds that the cursor is not moved (say because I am typing something) the mouse stops responding: cursor disappears, magic scroll does not work, clicking does not work. The only way I have to restore the cursor is to hit the COMMAND key: at this point the cursos reappears, along with Windows 10 Start Menu (since the COMMAND key, in Windows, is interpreted as the WINDOWS key). Additional thing to know: I have also a USB mouse always connected to the Imac (but kept switched off when I am using the Magic Mouse) and it does not work either when the Magic Mouse stops responding. - I have experienced this issue now, for the first time, so I do not know if it is a broader issue involving also other programs or the operating system itself. Any ideas what's happening? My machine: Imac 27" Late 2015 with Mac OS El Capitan. Thank you and kind regards, Alberto
Hi Albertoa2, please try the following steps to fix the issue: 1. Shut Down virtual machine. 2. Open Virtual Machine configuration 3. Go to Hardware > Boot Order > and paste in Boot Flags box: video.hw_pointer=0 Please let us know how it works.
Hi PaulChris, thanks for the reply. Using this flag what happens is: 1. there is a huge difference in the speed of the cursor between the VM and the physical machine: in the VM the mouse cursor moves much faster than in the physical machine 2. in the VM the mouse movement is not anymore smooth; it is now laggy and choppy 3. when I slide with two fingers on the Magic Mouse 2 to move from the VM back to the physical machine, the transition between the two windows is not smooth anymore: it is choppy and laggy 4. to use the mouse in the VM, first I have to click in it and only then the cursor is captured by the VM I will definitely not use this flag anymore. Thank you and kind regards, Alberto
