Hi ThomasB28. Please generate a technical report id from Parallels Access and reply with its id number for further investigation.
I had the same problem. Some of Parallel's SSL certificates expired today (Dec 28, 2018). That prevents the web remote control interface from loading. This should fix itself once they renew their certificates. For now, though, I was able to resolve the issue by adding certificate exceptions in Firefox. This is not recommended, as an expired certificate should not generally be trusted. If you're desperate to get connected quickly, though, you can get add certificate exceptions in Firefox by going to Options -> Privacy & Security -> Certificates and clicking the 'View Certificates' button. You'll need to 'Add Exceptions' for https://media.myparallels.com and https://download.myparallels.com. For each, press 'Add Exceptions, enter the URL, then press 'Get Certificate'. You can then press 'Confirm Security Exception'. After that, your remote connect should work again. BUT... remember, trusting expired certificates comes with some risk, so it might be best to just wait for the company to renew their certificates. Hope that helps -evan
Our engineering team is aware of this issue and are working on it. A fix will be released in a future Parallels Access build. While we do not have an ETA for the fix, it has been prioritized appropriately. You can track the changes in the product here - http://kb.parallels.com/123816 -.
Maybe I'm being a bit too simplistic, but shouldn't an issue with an expiring certificate been known weeks, if not months, ago and planned well in advance? It's not as if Parallels Access is a free service where the perceived expectations would be much lower. I have a daily need to use Parallels Access and being delegated to only using it on an iOS tablet is very sub-optimal. To whom can I write about requesting a partial refund or credit to compensate for the loss of capability while this issue is being addressed? Regards, Bob
