I had many problems and downgraded back to 5. I would suggest you to wait a few more months (especially if you have no issues using PD5) until the new version stabilizes.

PD6 will deinstall PD5, but it won't change your VMs (as far as I can tell). So a downgrade is possible afterwards (at least it has been for me). I went back and forth many times, right now I'm back on PD5 (I'm using SL 10.6.4). I only did this with FreeBSD as a guest OS though, so I can't tell...

Problem disappeared here as well. I guess it was a server-side problem at Parallels.

Exactly the same is happening here. I checked my parallels account profile, and the key is registered there. Also double checked if it is the correct key (from the E-Mail back in late 2009). So everything seems ok, I guess parallels has a problem here. If it makes a difference: I upgraded...
