parallels 9, mouse sensitivity and speed off the charts

In AutoCAD there is a command called ZOOMFACTOR. On my Windows PC this is set to 60. In my Parallels VM I had to drop it all the way down to 20. This will fix the super fast mouse scrolling/zooming in AutoCAD.

Files from Finder won’t open in Windows

A workaround has been discovered; you have to disable the cloud sharing feature. Credit to MarcelloS: http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?290902-Trouble-opening-MS-Office-2010-Applications-from-Open-With-menu-in-Finder

    Parallels 8 + windows XP + Photoshop 6

Could it be the CD drive needs to be assigned to Parallels so it will recognize the disc? You have to switch the CD drive from the iMac to Parallels so that Windows XP will recognize the disc. This is done under the 'devices' menu in Parallels. Make sure the iMac's CD drive has a check mark...

Parallels 9 Excel will not open file when double clicking on file icon in Finder

I am also having the same issue with Parallels 9 not launching any Windows applications from the Mac Finder. It doesn't matter if it's in coherence mode or not; I have to open the Windows program first and then open the file I want to work with. Very annoying for an "upgrade" to break such a...

Magic Mouse Scrolling Speed With Lion

A couple things to try. 1. Universal Access panel under System Preferences has the settings for scrolling speed on the Magic Mouse. Slowing it down will improve Windows scrolling but it may slow down Mac OS X scrolling too much. 2. AutoCAD has a command called ZOOMFACTOR that will...
