    I would delete all shortcuts created by Parallels in OSX and then try to repopulate them. I had the same issue and this resolved it immediately for me.

    I would use either AVG Free Edition, Kapsperky (top rated right now) or NOD32. All these are much better than Norton and take less system resources.

    Windows XP Pro SP2 and Quickbooks Pro 2006, 2007 and 2008 on 10.5.1 and Parallels 5584 works perfectly.

    What is the IP range, subnet and gateway of your network? What type of printer do you have? If the IP address assigned to your printer is wrong then you'll need to get with the manufacturer to assist you with this issue.

    I don't think it was a virus but anything is possible. VMs can get corrupt...that's life. :-( Anyway once you know you get everything off your corrupt VM you can trash it. If you want, you can keep it on an external drive indefinitely. Your call.

    In the Applications Folder on your Mac side look for the Parallels Folder. The is a file named Parallels Explorer. Run it. It'll automatically fine your Parallels .hdd file. You have to make sure Parallels is not running that the same time.

    Try booting you XP VM in SafeMode, if you haven't already to see if your VM is not corrupt. If is boots then you see that it may be driver issue. Have you installed any new hardware recently?
