hello, i'm using P3 build 5626. when i resize my windows screen it doesn't resize properly so i get scroll bars. it works on my other Macs on which I'm running Parallels. I've tried reinstalling Parallels Tools but that hasn't helped. Can someone help?

Thanks Flagg. I ended up downloading P4 again and using the uninstaller from there. Those instructions look a bit complicated and scary. Might I suggest you put an uninstaller somewhere online, so that people can download just that?

I've had enough of frequent crashing caused by P4 and so am trying to roll back to P3 (build 5608). Trouble is, when I run the installer it's telling to uninstall Parallels Server. I've never installed that, so don't know what to delete. Anyone help?

I discovered that pressing ctrl-alt-cmd all together releases whatever key's stuck down. That's what comes of having a tantrum and whacking the keyboard :)

I had the same trouble - no joy trying Flagg's suggestion. Still happens. Still annoying. Surely this would have come up in testing??

Thanks, Forgiven. Yes, similar except that today I had to restart windows to release the sticky key (didn't realise it was the windows key, not ctrl - don't think i ever used the win key when i had a real PC).

I'm still finding this happening in 4.0.3540 - except, today, quitting and reopening parallels didn't release the CTRL key. Please help, Parallels support!!

I found a recommendation somewhere talking about a number of odd files which seem to reside in the root folder, which have the .ff something ending. It said to remove Fast Find from startup, and turn it off in control panel - significantly improves system performance. You can then delete those...

Hi, I have an occasional problem with Parallels 4.0.3522 in that the ctrl key sometimes gets 'stuck' and the only way to 'release' it is to quit parallels. this is very annoying, as the only way i realise it's stuck down is that odd stuff happens, as though I was control-clicking on things...

I've tried both, yes - originally was one, which was unbelievably slow, then tried two, which was just annoyingly slow.

I tried all that - still very, very slow. Reinstalling Parallels Tools took about an hour. Using an iMac on 10.5.5, 2ghz processor with 2gb memory, and given 750mb to parallels (originally I'd let it work it out for itself). Very disappointed indeed with P4 - I was running along pretty much...

Works now, following my phone call. I stopped the virtual machine, then went into configure, and changed the CD image file as shown in the attached file. Then started VM and ran Install Parallels Tools. Let it restart, and prob restart once more for luck, and it worked. Hurrah!
