    Not true. If, for instance, I have several processes running in the guest system, the guest system could be stealing resources (CPU, disk usage) from the main OS, even when it's not needed. Moreover, even when the host machine is doing 'nothing', there is still an overhead for the VT...

    An even-more efficient way, IMHO, is to pause the VM on lost-focus. I would give both options, should be REALLY easy to implement.

The ability to boot the boot camp partition from parallels, with maybe a different windows hardware configuration (to avoid the real hardware / virtualized hardware mismatches).     Yes, I see the same things exactly, the two core seems to be about at the same utilization, which is strange, since at idle, only one core should be used (the one running Windows). Weird.

    I'm sure that a 'boot from real partition' would be very helpful to many of us. If this could work for a bootcamp/parallels cooperation on the same partition, I don't know: I know that windows has hardware profiles, and those are made up for similar cases (different hardware configurations)...

    RC2 is out, with many improvements, but still no sign of this feature. Any chance to see it before GA? Andrew said it was really easy to give a basic 'use real partition' option. That's all we need.

    Try to zap it over again with AppZapper, reboot, redownload it and reinstall it. Sometimes, trying to do the whole workflow again, fixes problems :)
