Eru - I wasn't suggesting that they release the fix before it is tested. That would be silly. In an early post, a Parralels rep said that they were making the fix part of a release that included a lot of other fixes. My suggestion was that they simply release the (fully QA'd) fix for this...

This is pretty ridiculous. Why are the developers waiting to make this part of a much biiger update? This is a serious problem causing lots of headaches. Look at the crazy workarounds we have to use. Can't they just release a "hotfix" to solve this major issue?

but you still have to switch even then, you would still need to switch between the two, manually. That is why I suggested some "reserved" IP Address, when used from the guest machine, would always forward to the host. That way you would have "host-only" and bridged during the same VM session...

Not sure that will be sufficient Neuron - Does Host-Only mean that I will have to choose between having a VM that connects to the outside world and one that connects to my host only? What I want is a VM that can do both. Is that what they mean?
