I upgraded and now it gives me the log in screen and won't accept any passwords. I originally did not have a password on my account...and had it configured to go directly in bypassing the log in screen. I am running Windows xp pro. any thoughts before I reinstall?

My OS 10 mackbook has become unstable...and I want to reinstall....I would like to back up my parallels and then be able to just copy it into the new setup and have it work. is there instructions on how to do this or do i need to just reinstall everything on the windows side as well? Thanks
